SuperTots New Orleans • Before you register
What you need to know.
Choosing an activity is a big step for little ones (and their parents, too!), so we know our tots and their families have a lot of questions. Here’s what to expect so you can feel comfortable getting started.

A little movement. A lot of fun.
What happens in class?
SuperTots introduces sports through active games, simple skills and plenty of encouragement. A typical class includes:
- A playful warm-up to get moving.
- Games that introduce the sport and its basic skills.
- Fun challenges that build coordination and confidence.
- Opportunities to practice listening, taking turns and playing with others.
There are no formal games or competitions. The focus is on learning through play and feeling comfortable trying something new. Learn more about SuperTots and the benefits of getting started early.
Stay close. Cheer them on.
Do parents participate?
Our youngest groups, including ages 1.5–2.5 and 2–3.5, are parent-participation classes. A parent or guardian joins their child in the activity to help guide, encourage and play alongside them.
Older groups practice being more independent, but we ask parents to remain nearby. Coaches may invite you to help if your child needs a little extra encouragement.
These classes are a shared experience for families, so plan to stay for class rather than drop off.
Keep it simple
What should my child bring?
- A water bottle.
- Comfortable clothes for moving and playing.
- Sneakers.
We provide the sports equipment, so you don’t need to buy a ball, glove or other gear before signing up.
Children also receive a SuperTots T-shirt. Wearing it to class is welcome, but optional.
New is a big deal
What if my child is shy?
No sports experience is needed. It’s normal for children to watch first, stay close to a parent or skip an activity while they get comfortable.
Our coaches help children ease in at their own pace. A little patience and encouragement can go a long way, especially if this is their first structured activity.
Watching, trying one game and coming back for another turn can all be part of the learning process.
Find the right fit
How do I choose a class?
Start with your child’s age, then choose a sport, location and time that work for your family. Activities are designed for the age group listed, so check the age range for the specific class before registering.
Dates, prices and available sports vary by location and season. You can compare classes and find registration links on our schedule page. Each park’s registration button takes you to the correct registration site.
If you’re deciding between groups or aren’t sure where to start, reach out. We’re happy to help you find a good fit.
Stay in the loop
How will I get class updates?
After you register, we’ll send a welcome email before the session starts with details about your coach and where to meet.
If weather affects class, we’ll send a text to the phone number on file and share information about rescheduling. Make sure your registration includes an email address and mobile number you check regularly.
South Louisiana weather can change quickly. We do our best to give advance notice, with safety and the class experience guiding our decisions.
We’re local. Let’s talk.
